MARIE BENTZON
b. 1995

Danish visual artist and photographer based in Norway

I have always been fascinated by the small connections in everyday life —how everything is interwoven—between people, nature, landscapes, places and all the unspoken. I explore landscapes and how we connect with them.

My work develops from personal feelings, experiences or curiosity about my surroundings. Slowness, gathering and physical materials are key in my process.

I believe that if we engage more with what is near and close to us, we become more present and protective of what we have.

Besides working as a visual artist I work as a freelance photographer.
